DCTS FBLA Members Lead and Learn at PA FBLA SLW 2025

This past weekend, our FBLA chapter traveled to the 2025 PA FBLA State Leadership Workshop at Kalahari Resorts in the Poconos. From the moment we stepped on the bus Saturday morning, our students set the tone for a weekend of professionalism, leadership growth, and fun.

The first stop of the trip was Cracker Barrel for breakfast, where our students made such a positive impression that the manager took time to complement their respectful behavior and maturity. That moment set the stage for what would become an exceptional weekend representing Dauphin County Technical School.

Once at Kalahari, students participated in a variety of workshops designed to build leadership and career skills in business, public speaking, communication, and teamwork. Outside of sessions, students enjoyed time together in the water park and arcade, strengthening friendships and building memories. Students also took part in popular SLW traditions such as the Goose Chase challenge, karaoke, rubber duck derby, and basket raffles.

This year, DCTS students helped run the brand new SLW Professional Headshot station. Together, our chapter raised more than $525 for the state project, Feeding Pennsylvania.

From professional development to service and team bonding, the weekend was a meaningful experience that showcased the character and leadership potential of our students. We are proud of how they represented our school and look forward to carrying this energy into the rest of the FBLA year.
