Highlights from the 2025 Pennsylvania FBLA State Conference at Hershey

The 2025 FBLA State Leadership Conference in Hershey was packed with excitement, surprises, and some incredible student accomplishments. From workshops and speeches to elevator setbacks and scooter penalties, our DCTS crew made the most of every moment.

Monday Highlights

The first day kicked off with students jumping straight into preliminary competitions and morning workshops, covering everything from Artificial Intelligence to Conflict in the Workplace (hosted by Mr. Choate).

Between sessions, our hotel elevators decided to quit on us, which meant plenty of stairs before the Opening Session at the Giant Center.

At the Opening Session, Dashawn took the stage to deliver his campaign speech for Vice President at Large. His energy, leadership, and message clearly resonated with the crowd.

And then came the moment none of us saw coming: Dashawn’s scooter got sent to the penalty box at the Giant Center. No word yet on the official call, but rumor has it it was a two-minute minor for speeding in the concourse.

Tuesday Highlights

By Tuesday, Dashawn’s campaign booth had become a fan favorite. All day long, students were shouting things like “It’s Dashawn!” as he scooted around like a local celebrity.

Out of our 23 competitors, 19 advanced to the final round and competed throughout the day. We wrapped things up at the Awards Ceremony, where Mr. Civitello and Mrs. Haste joined us to cheer on our students.

Special Thanks

A big thank you to Mrs. D for helping with lunches, dinners, and keeping students organized and supported throughout the trip.

And of course, a shout-out to our Culinary program for the delicious chicken dinners on Monday and taco night on Tuesday. Both meals were a huge hit and helped power us through two full days of events.

Thank you to Mr. Civitello and Mrs. Haste for taking the time to attend the closing ceremony and support our students during the awards.

And finally, thank you to everyone who has supported DCTS FBLA this year through fundraisers, donations, and encouragement. Your support is what makes opportunities like this possible.

Summary

From campaign wins to competition success, DCTS showed up strong this year. We’re proud of every student who competed, supported their peers, or helped make the trip a success. Next stop: Anaheim!
