FBLA Students Attend Dame Evolution Leadership Conference

On October 7, six FBLA students from Dauphin County Technical School attended the annual Dame Evolution Leadership Conference, joining more than 650 participants for a full day of leadership development.

The day began with breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and syrup-filled French toast balls, followed by a session with Sarita Maybin, international speaker and author. Her talk on positive communication encouraged students to use constructive phrases like “Help me understand” and “How can we resolve this.”

The keynote was delivered by Jon Acuff, New York Times bestselling author of All It Takes is a Goal. Blending humor with practical advice, Acuff inspired students to focus on goals and growth.

Students also explored the exhibitor hall, connecting with companies such as Everound, Tower Marketing, UBS, Kissinger, and ProCFO Partners. This gave them valuable networking experience. A hearty lunch of chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and desserts offered time to recharge and reflect.

The conference provided more than presentations. It gave our students a chance to practice communication, meet professionals, and experience leadership in action. They returned with fresh insights and stronger connections, living out FBLA’s mission to prepare future leaders.
