The FBLA Region 15 Conference was a remarkable day for our chapter, filled with outstanding achievements, inspiring moments, and leadership milestones. Our students demonstrated their skills, dedication, and professionalism, making our school proud in numerous ways.
One of the day’s highlights was the Battle of the Chapters competition, where our students showcased their knowledge of FBLA and teamwork skills. Their hard work paid off, as they brought home an impressive second-place finish.
Another memorable moment was the guest speaker, Joe Headen, who delivered a phenomenal presentation on character and personal growth. He challenged students to reflect on the type of person they aspire to be, categorizing individuals as multipliers, adders, subtractors, or dividers. His engaging talk, which even included a fun Ted Lasso reference, left the audience inspired and motivated to make a positive impact in their communities.
Our chapter also celebrated a regional leadership victory. One of our students ran a successful campaign for Regional Vice President, winning the election and taking on a key leadership role. This accomplishment highlights the strength of our chapter’s leadership and our students’ ability to make a difference at the regional level.
In competitive events, our students truly excelled, bringing home numerous awards across a variety of categories:
- 12 first-place winners
- 6 second-place winners
- 4 third-place winners
- 1 fourth-place winner
- 1 fifth-place winner
These results underscore the dedication and preparation our students put into their events. Each competitor represented our chapter with excellence and professionalism, proving that hard work truly pays off.
Looking ahead, with the regional conference now behind us, we are thrilled to announce that 28 students from our chapter have qualified to compete at the state conference in Hershey, which will take place in early April of 2025. This opportunity will allow our students to take their talents to the next level and compete among the best in Pennsylvania.
The Region 15 Conference was more than just a competition—it was an opportunity for students to grow as leaders, connect with peers, and be inspired by those around them. From the awards won to the lessons learned, this event was a testament to the bright futures our students are building through FBLA.
Congratulations to all our participants, especially our newly elected Regional Vice President, and a heartfelt thank-you to Joe Headen for his inspiring words. We are excited to see how these experiences will shape the success of our chapter moving forward!
