Kicking Off the Year with FBLA at DCTS

The 2025–2026 school year is off to an exciting start at Dauphin County Technical School! During our recent FBLA/SkillsUSA assembly, students had the chance to hear directly from both organizations about the benefits of joining. It was a great opportunity to learn how these two clubs can shape leadership skills, provide networking experiences, and open doors for future careers.

While both organizations shared their strengths, FBLA especially highlighted how students can build real-world business, communication, and leadership skills through active participation. Members can compete in events, attend conferences, and connect with other student leaders across Pennsylvania and the country.

One of the highlights of the FBLA presentation was the introduction of this year’s PA FBLA State Project, supporting Feeding Pennsylvania. We were honored to welcome a representative from the Food Bank, who shared powerful information about their mission and the impact students can make through fundraising and service efforts. This partnership provides our chapter with a meaningful way to give back to the community while building teamwork and leadership along the way.

The assembly served not only as an introduction to what FBLA is all about, but also as a spark of excitement for the year ahead. Students left with a better understanding of how FBLA can help them grow personally and professionally, all while making a positive difference in our school and community.

We’re excited to see new faces join DCTS FBLA this year and to continue building on the momentum from this event. Here’s to a year of growth, leadership, and service!
