From July 11 through 13, representatives from across Pennsylvania gathered at the Penn Stater Hotel in State College for the 2025 FBLA Executive Committee Summer Meeting. DCTS was proudly represented by both an advisor and Da’Shawn, who serves as a current Pennsylvania FBLA State Officer.
Throughout the weekend, the Executive Committee reviewed key planning items to set the foundation for the upcoming school year. Topics of discussion included:
- The 2025 State Project: Feeding Pennsylvania, with an ambitious goal of raising over $50,000
- Reviewing and analyzing statistics, minutes, and data from previous meetings
- Getting to know the current group of state officers and learning more about their goals and leadership styles
- Finalizing plans for future events and state-wide initiatives
Outside of the meetings, officers had time to connect and bond as a team. Da’Shawn and the other state officers shared meals together, enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and made a group outing for ice cream. Officers also conducted Zoom interviews to help select the next State Social Media Coordinator, an important position for managing FBLA’s online presence throughout the year.
It was an exciting and productive weekend, full of collaboration, planning, and leadership development. We are proud of Da’Shawn for representing DCTS on the state level and look forward to the year ahead as the work of the Executive Committee takes shape across the state.
